Discuss a way to create and maintain full MiL and ML player spreadsheet. This will provide a quick and easy way for owners to search and see if a player is owned and by whom.
Update CBS rosters to include entire roster including placeholders for MiL players not in CBS database. This will also help owners search to see if a player is already owned and will also help prevent the constant illegal roster problems on CBS.
League Activity: Not looking for a social networking site but at times the league is slow on the board – likely because many of us are already active in more established leagues. So any suggestions to generate a little more activity on the board? League updates through email, less minors to generate more activity in free agency, etc.?

One of the distinctions of this league was the ultra deep minors system. I think that should stay, but if it gets lessened it will not lessen my activity in the league or affect it at all.
I am all for hearing others opinions on what they want to see in this league so we can get some more activity and chatter on the boards on a consistent basis. I realize we all are in other leagues but I think a core component of being in a league, especially one like this one, is being active on the boards consistently. I really really really really enjoy leagues where there is constant activity on the boards and I have the worst team imaginable over leagues where there is little chatter or none at all and my team looks like it is the best ever constructed. For me it is largely about the community of the league.

You can always embed a Google spreadsheet as we did last year at BCN Pro. It has to be kept up to date though. The simplest solution for searching for available players is using CBS, IMO. While you can't use the search to find players not in CBS' database you can find them on the roster grid. If moves are made on CBS as they happen then the roster grid should remain up to date. Combine that with a search of this board, which will at least pull up signings, trades, drafts and releases, and it should be covered.
As for league activity, it just takes some time. We could have a pizza party...OK, for real. No idea. No, maybe having everyone put their first name in the username that's displayed as some of already have. That way it's quick to realize, oh, that's dude from BCN Pro, SSDL or whatever. Umm, someone to push Dan's buttons. That'll up the # of posts significantly. Yankees vs Haters flame wars. Well, I tried...and failed.
As for the minors, not sure. 60 is a lot. I look at my guys stats on 1st Inning and I have no idea who a bunch of them are. I signed up knowing the max was 60, but if 50 or 40 leads to more auctions and activity then good. How will a 10 rd draft impact things?

Yeah, on second thought, 40 is a sound number. I have over the last week or so come to think that will be a good number in BCN PRO and might be a good number here. I don't closely track all my minors here like I do in BCN PRO because there are so darn many of them. Yeah, piss me off and I am sure Clay will be right. The scary thing is that I have become less tolerant of stupid people and people saying stupid things in the last couple of weeks. I think I have hit a wall were I am sick and tired being the nice Dan others feel they can just say or do something wrong towards me and think I will just make it be water under the bridge at some point without a real apology or something. Maybe I am just having early-middle age settle in and just don't want to deal with peoples crap any more. I don't know. But I think I am well on my way to become one day a grumpy old man I am just surprised that there is no trading really in this league. Not that I have tried to trade myself. I usually would but my strange team has me in a spot where I won't at the moment. Maybe we just have a bunch of silent Bob's here?

Pizza party made me laugh...
We can vote on the minors in the offseason. My first reaction is that 60 minors was a bit too much but we'll have to see what others think.
The lack of trading stuns me as well but hopefully it comes with time.

I'll probably be able to help out with the trading part soon enough. I will certainly want some 2011 picks though. So I'm looking forward to getting the 2010 draft done as soon as possible.
