We haven't had one of these in a while. I wouldn't have had much good to say anyway. I would have been trash talked rather than trash talking. The season for the O's has been disappointing. Who would have ever thought that Brian Roberts had the power to pull down not only the real O's but a fantasy team as well. Brett Anderson's arm issues, after his innings spike last season, are not unexpected but unfortunate. The O's are definitely not buyers, but not quite sellers. We're in some sort of fantasy purgatory. So, look out! We might be gaining on you...or selling to you!

The Indians season has gone a bit differently than expected. I still am befuddled on how I have the 7th best record in the league, am in second in my division by a stones throw and if the playoffs started this week we are in I would be a playoff team. Huh? I-Rod is my catcher and his batting average is ala 2004 vintage I-Rod. Troy Glaus has taken nicely to 1B in the ATL and is blasting bombs to the moon the last month and a half. Adrian Beltre is lovin' the new ballpark he is in and is hitting at a 2004 rate in batting average, turning back the clock....just with a few less homers than that year. Shin-Soo Choo is the 16th overall rated OF on CBS now. I Choo-Choo-Choose Choo! Josh Hamilton's slow start to the season enabled us to trade for him and he has been surging for weeks! And now that I have written this all the other shoe will drop as I have long expected it too. I started the build on this team for tomorrow, not today. I am not abandoning that plan and will watch and cheer on these boys of summer that have made this team surprise thus far and cheer them on like they were the 87' Twins, a team that against all statistical odds won it all.
