Ive heard rumors saying toronto will deal newly acquired OF Michael Taylor to the A's for 3b Brett Wallace.

My guess is that he and Lyle Overbay will be used as trade bait at some point in 2010 or in pre season. The Jays need to address CF and SS next, so look for them to target teams with lots of high end SS prospects.

Maybe at some point, but I think they'll keep him there as long as they can. He's much much better than Braun was at the same progression time period. He has a .939 fielding % while Braun was .869 at the same age (22). He's going to improve some as well, but he is chunky, there's no doubting that! Also, to put Wallace's stats in perspective, Ryan Braun played in HiA and AA as a 22 yr old and hit 22 HRs, 77 RBI, .289 avg, .357 OBP Wallace, also 22, played in AA and AAA, and hit 20 HRs, 63 RBI, .293 avg, and .367 OBP. I hate to put that much pressure on the kid, but Braun's the best comparison I could come up with in terms of potential. He's that good. |

I wrote some stuff about the deal on the Jays end at the Journal jaysjournal.com/We'll see who the Jays send with League, but I like Morrow a whole lot more than League. |
