I got called today for choosing a player already on a roster - Dodger SS Ivan DeJesus. I used the Search function for Ivan, Jesus, DeJesus, and De Jesus. None showed his prior selection. I even went line by line over the Dodge MINOR league page and found nothing. He was listed on the Dodger Reserve roster however.
So I tried a Search for Morneau (who I know is on my page) - nothing. Then a thought hit me. Is it possible that Search will not return a result that is buried in a table? Both Morneau and DeJesus are in tables.
Does anyone know if this is globally true?

Could be very possible. I for one have given up on the search function on Proboards. I don't trust it anymore.

I think you're on to something. I just tried it in my league and it didn't highlight players within tables.

At a minimum, before grabbing a player, make sure he wasn't kept by that team. Ex. if want to select Justin Jackson you'd look at my lineup at a minimum.
However, if you do that and see nothing, or he's from a team that doesn't have a franchise here, it's your responsibility to look through each rd and see if he was picked. If you "double" pick and have the later of the two, you're the one that will end up having to fill the void. At this stage, I don't think that it's a huge deal, but it can still be a pain in the butt. Either way, you can be sure that the person who drafts the guy first gets to keep him.
You're correct about the search - but for some reason it works better on BCN than here. Even if it doesn't highlight the players in tables - it still brings up the table.
