I'm pretty sure Freese was already picked so the Giants are still on the clock.

I was hoping to take Bushue later. He comes from my in-laws town, which is the town next door to where my wife grew up. Not that I have any particular fondness for either place. More of a 3 degrees of separation thing.

Any good stuff on him? I just read a couple of scouting reports and figured it was worth a shot.

Otherwise, I only know what I read about him on Sickel's or Fangraphs or the like. Good velo, but far away, as he doesn't have much experience coming from a cold weather place.

From what I've read he's the 3rd best SP prospect for HOU and has #2-3 potential. Nice grab.

I took Chapman, cause I could not find anything in the rules that said he was ineligebile to be drafted. I have email dustin as well.

We are all waiting on Chapman. He is supposedly going to sign in the next few days so who will be the owner with the lucky timing?

Hmmmm....not sure if this is possible (or popular, or right to do or whatever....) but since we don't really know exactly when (what hour) he will sign then technically it is within the realm of possibility that we all would have a shot at him still. Should we consider him because of his special talent level to be under special circumstances or would that open up needlessly a can of worms?

When do we consider him "signed?" When it is first reported, when he signs a contract, when he passes his physical, when it is announced in a press conference...etc, etc.

So if Chapman signs before the draft is completed he will be available in free agency, highest bidder, after the draft.

no chapman for anyone ahha Thank god. The draft would have lasted until spring training if everybody was waiting around for him.
